That nite we performed with some beautiful and talented burlesque performers in the lovely club Artisika. There was Selia D'Katzmeow Carmicheal, Tiger RoxXx, Jenn Martin, and Simora Cheeks. They even had a Stage TomCat. Everyone there was warm, and welcoming and did an amazing job! There a small blip in the radar as our music was on mute at the beginning and it took them a bit to re-cue it up. That's OK me and my partner threw in a free Shadow Puppet show to fill the time. Your welcome Greensboro. http://meowbaby.wordpress.com/ ,
The next day we travelled to Atlanta...we a brief stop at Mary-Jo's Fabric store...or Mecca, as we like to refer to it. It's the size of a super Walmart, but with all the fabric and trimmings that your little heart could want. YAY! I found some fabric to finish one of my costumes! But I digress. Onward we trekked to http://syrensofthesouth.weebly.com/ to perform in thier Spring Chicken Show and to see their Student Showcase. Man O Man the students costumes were, well...let's just say, intimidating. They worked hard on thier constumes and thier numbers and it really paid off! I felt pretty lucky to be able to get to see them perform. If you missed it you missed some wonderful upcoming talent!
But onto the show!! Once again this was full of chicken and win! There was a total of 9 Peeps eaten and I believe about 20 Peeps shoved in various bits of clothing for surprise revels, and of course Booty Cake. I can't get enough Booty Cake. I was covered in Peeps sugar and quite sticky, but very happy. In the morning we attened http://www.blastoffburlesque.com/ Yard Sale. I think that I am totally gonna steal thier whole "Dept. and Lifestyle" concept. It worked and I have these furry, super huge boots to prove it. Then onto WIGS! I came home with 2. Why do I always seem to come back from Atlanta with more "things"! LOL http://katherinelashe.weebly.com/ is a baaaaad influence.
On the final note Mr Q, the hubby of Talloolah Love, http://www.facebook.com/talloolah fired up the gril so that was left Atlanta full and happy. Let me tall you not only can that man spin some Steampunk tunage, but he can cook some meat!,
So all in all I would say a quite sucsessfull weekend. I loved it and I hope I get the chance to tour for real on of these days. I am heading back to Atlanta the weekend of the 30th to perform in Outlanta Con and Anachrocon, so expect more stories to come. Ooooh and I need to finish my blog about my trip to Portland! It was amazing!
