Now it's time to find a better way and Knoxville needs to grow up and relieze that this is a legitament art form. We need to bring back the Vaudeville, the Cabaret, the small independant Circus and all the other hard working alternative performers that are NOT a band.
So after being sad, after the "fun" was sucked out of that Friday night for me I awoke to take Onca's Burlesque-esque Revolution Workshop. Finally my soul was restored. I so much admire her ability to teach and inspire, not mention she can play the Drunken Flooze Bandit Queen to perfection! SO I am putting the dream once more into the collective unconcious and hoping that it grows some wings.
Now let me enlighten you. Onca also runs the ABSFest...Americana Burlesque and Sideshow Festival. This was the first festival that I ever performed in and it is near and dear to my heart....you need to go. That is all. Here is their website... http://www.barakamundi.com/absfest/show
